The process and timeline for applying for the C11 Work Permit

1. The application process

Step 1: Prepare Your Documents

  • Financial proof (investment funds, bank statements)
  • Proof of business management experience
  • Personal documents: passport, police clearance, photos, etc.

Step 2: Submit the Work Permit Application Online

  • Through the IRCC (Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada) portal
  • Pay the processing fee and biometric fee

Step 3: Biometrics (if not previously provided)

  • Fingerprints and photo taken at the nearest VAC (Visa Application Centre)
