Canada's Express Entry là con đường chính để lao động tay nghề cao xin immigrate to Canada. Tháng 8/2025 vừa qua, số lượng hồ sơ trong Express Entry pool (tập hợp hồ sơ ứng viên chờ xét chọn) đã có sự thay đổi đáng chú ý.

This article will analyze:

  • Draws in August 2025
  • Tình hình phân bổ CRS score trong Express Entry pool
  • How your score compares to other candidates

What is Express Entry? What is CRS?

  • Express Entry: hệ thống quản lý hồ sơ trực tuyến do IRCC (Cơ quan Di trú, Tị nạn và Quốc tịch Canada) vận hành, dành cho lao động có tay nghề muốn nhập cư Canada.
  • CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System): maximum score of 1,200, evaluates candidates based on age, education, work experience, English/French proficiency, and other factors. The higher the CRS score, the greater the chance of receiving an ITA (Invitation to Apply).

Status of application withdrawals in August 2025

In August 2025, IRCC held five draws, across four different categories (including occupation-based and language-based draws). A total of 6,417 ITAs were issued.

Remarkable:

  • French-speaking draw reaches highest CRS score since early 2025.
  • PNP draws require high CRS scores, often above 700, as candidates are awarded additional points for having a provincial nomination.

Compared to July 2025, the number of ITAs issued in August decreased by 1,141. This is the fourth lowest month of the year for ITAs, after January, April and May.

Total ITAs issued from January to August 31, 2025:

  • 55,820 ITAs, down more than 23,000 from the same period in 2024.

Number and distribution of points in the Express Entry pool

As of August 17, 2025, there were 254,113 profiles in the Express Entry pool, a decrease of 2,472 profiles compared to August 5, 2025.

How competitive is your score?

To help candidates visualize, IRCC publishes the percentage of applications in each points group.

Example

  • The 351–400 point group makes up the largest percentage, about 21% of the entire pool.
  • The 501–600 point group accounts for 9%, showing that the number of candidates with provincial nomination letters or high scores is not too large but very competitive.
  • Candidates with 471 points or more have an advantage in the vocational or French language draws.

Conclusion

August 2025 shows an increasingly competitive Express Entry pool, especially in the 470+ point bracket. Candidates with lower CRS scores may consider:

  • Apply for a provincial nomination (PNP) to increase your points.
  • Improve your foreign language skills, especially French, to increase your chances in language-based draws.

Keeping a close eye on your pool situation and monthly draws will help you adjust your profile strategy accordingly.
